This precision, stainless steel thermometer is essential for making hard candy, nougat,  fudge and more. Simply clamp to side of bowl or pan; the bulb is held securely without touching sides for precise readings. Easy-to-read numbers help you to keep track of changing temperatures at a glance.

Measures from 100 to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and 37 to 204 degrees Celsius.

Use and Care: Altitude or variations in barometric pressure change the boiling point of liquids. To correct this, check thermometer by immersing in boiling water (normally 212 degrees Fahrenheit (100 degrees Celsius). If the reading, for example, is 204 degrees Fahrenheit (95 degrees Celsius), subtract 8 degrees Fahrenheit from recipe which can be compensated for in the same way. Before and after each use, hand wash in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.

If the thermometer glass breaks:

  • Turn off the burners and heat sources until cleanup is completed
  • Use care to avoid sharp glass edges
  • Discard all contaminated food. Do not ingest
  • Avoid skin or eye contact with the fluid

Use gloves and clean any spilled with an absorbent cloth. Discard the cloth after cleanup
